The Peacock Foundation's Programs
Our programs are designed to fit the needs of the facilities that desire our services. These programs may include components for anger management skills, relational skills, coping skills, conflict resolution skills, and more. We introduce all of these heavy topics through our stimulating methods. This allows us to build a safe, non-threatening, and exciting environment. The goal of the programs is to provide a fun interactive experience that promotes the interaction of children and their peers. We value each program as a new experience to reach children where they are now, and create peer understanding and support.

Animal Assisted Method
This technique is widely used in hospitals across the world. Animals provide a doorway that would otherwise not exist. We are proud to team up with many local and national organizations to benefit both the hurting child and the misplaced animal.

Art Method
The Art Method is used all over the nation to help children express their feelings. It is a major asset for a child to have freedom to create and express through clay, painting, and abstract expression. They can truly let go and not fear any type of comparison.

Drama Method
The Drama Method is a relatively new concept for healing. Children use their creativity to develop and act out scenes to grow through and understand their grief. Feelings of alienation, depression, anger and abandonment are tackled through improvisation, scene play, and imagery.

Creative Writing
Creative Writing Sessions have been used in association with Drama Therapy to provide an outlet for children to express their feelings without labeling themselves. Many children feel that it is wrong to have feelings of anger when they have lost someone, and unless this anger is let out in any form it will bulid in the child until it causes an eruption. Creative writing allows the child to acknowledge the feelings with a feeling of anonymous.

One on One Sessions can be set up whenever the child, parent or group leader feels it is appropriate, but it is not the major focus of the foundation.
